Pie for the Fourth

We had a sort of pie bake off at a friends… too much pie:

I made the French Silk pie…. boy was it decadent. The recipe can be found on Epicurious (it’s actually the Black-bottom Chocolate Pie). I did use Anna’s Chocolate Mint Wafers instead of the regular chocolate wafers for the crust, and the results were quite impressive.


Pies (from top left clockwise) Apple Cranberry, Blueberry, French Silk, Apple, Peach, and Bourbon Vanilla Whipped Cream.

    I don’t suppose you have any leftovers.?

  2. Unfortunately no… it’s all gone. I do recommend the French Silk pie for summer ‘baking.’ You don’t have to turn on the oven 🙂
